Host's comment: "Few of us have experienced such rending agony as to sit in a garden and pray so feverously as to sweat blood. In the Garden offers a spectacular glimpse of Jesus soon before His arrest and crucifixion. Few can even imagine the suffering that He went through but what is more amazing is that He knew what to expect up front and willingly suffered it for every person that was and would ever be. In the Garden stands as a profoundly poignant reminder that we have a God who sent His Son to earth for us and will send His angels to uphold our arms as we pray. Luke 22:39-46."
Artist's note: "Jesus endured the Cross because He knew that the battle was already won in the garden. He didn’t wait till He was on the Cross to make a decision. He made it way before. God sent an angel from Heaven, the Bible says, to strengthen Him (Luke 22:43). I wonder how God does that? How does He give things like peace, joy, strength and courage? How did the angel factor in bringing it? I don’t know those answers, but suffice it to say God has His way of doing what we can’t imagine, and He did it for His Son that day. That’s the confidence I have to know He can and will do it for me too."
