Host's comment: "Determined to bring the paralyzed man to Jesus for a healing, four men uncovered the roof tiles and let down the paralytic on his bed in the midst of the crowded house. "When Jesus saw their faith, He said unto the sick of palsy, 'Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.'" Certain scribes, critical of Jesus, privately thought such a statement was blasphemy, as only God can forgive sins. In the hardness of their hearts, they did not recognize Jesus, the God-man, the promised Messiah. Jesus perceived their thoughts and said to them, "Why reason ye these things in your hearts? Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, 'Thy sins be forgiven thee;' or to say, 'Arise and take up thy bed, and walk?' But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins." Then to the paralytic He said, "I say unto thee; Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house." The man immediately arose , took up his bed to the amazement of all and the glory of God. Lord Jesus healed him from the inside out. Read Mark 2:1-12. Read also Isaiah 35:6 "Then shall the lame man leap as an hart....""
