From the "St. Albans Psalter", created at St. Abans Abbey essentially by Geoffrey de Gorham (or Gorron), Abbot of St. Albans (1119-46). Collect: The prayer asks for God's blessing on the actions of the day. God sends down the dove of the Holy Spirit to two men working in the field with mattocks.
