From the "St. Albans Psalter", created at St. Abans Abbey essentially by Geoffrey de Gorham (or Gorron), Abbot of St. Albans (1119-46). Psalms 123:1f.: David raises his eyes to Christ in the heavenly sphere above, pointing to him with one hand and pointing to the gathered people with the other hand. The people are looking at David. The woman and man touch hands: "As the eyes of servants are on the hands of their masters. As the eyes of the handmaid are on the hands of her mistress, so are our eyes look to the Lord."
