From the "St. Albans Psalter", created at St. Abans Abbey essentially by Geoffrey de Gorham (or Gorron), Abbot of St. Albans (1119-46). Psalms 118:19f.: A welcoming angel opens the gates with one hand and holds the book with the other. The book is inscribed "this is the gate of the
Lord".
