  Notes: From the "St. Albans Psalter", created at St. Abans Abbey essentially by Geoffrey de Gorham (or Gorron), Abbot of St. Albans (1119-46). Psalms 23:3f.: David and Christ clasp each other in intimate embrace. Christ places in David's mouth the tiny naked body of a soul: "He has converted my soul." They stand on clear water: "Upon the water of refreshment he has restored me."
