  Artwork: Psalm 119
  Artist: BERGER, Moshé Tzvi
Date: Series painted before and around 2000
Technique: Pen, brown ink, brown wash, blue wash, pierre noire
  Location: Museum of Psalms, Jerusalem
Notes: From a series illustrating all the 150 psalms. Psalms 119:111f. Artist's comment: "This psalm contains the theme of eight that repeats itself as a function of the Hebrew alphabet. Surpassing the seven of mundanity (representing the rational), the eight is the step to spiritual aspiration (supra-rational). This is a guide to spiritual perfection. I inherited a tradition of faith from my forefathers based on the wonders that they witnessed long ago. I rejoice over these events as if they happened to me and I can bear testimony to them for all time."
