From a series illustrating all the 150 psalms. Psalms 47:3. Artist's comment: "The Almighty is most high, above all the earth. He is represented by a huge ladder or tower and, from above, letters are tumbling down and spreading over the surface of the earth as His bounty, fecundity and love. The Almighty is great King, lofty, high and above everything, yet involved with this world."
