Artwork: St. James the Major and the wizard Hermogenes
  Artist: BOSCH, Hieronymus
  Technique: Oil on wood
  Location: Musée des Beaux-Arts, Valenciennes
Notes: Probably one of the shutters of a triptych. One can see two episodes of the legend of St. James the Major. One is borrowed from the Golden legend: In the foreground the wizard Hermogenes negotiates with the demons in charge of capturing St. James. In the background he advances preceded by an angel.
